Happy Birthday to Jude

Jude turned 7 this weekend! We had a big party. It began at the Chinese New Years Parade in Jacksonville, continued to lunch at Red Robin, and concluded at our house with presents, cake and ice cream and a rowdy game of basketball! Somehow the years are flying by! Our baby, our first born child, my son Jude turns 7 this weekend!!!! OH MY! I still remember his birth like it was yesterday. So....for today's song, this one is for Jude! It is currently his favorite song. Enjoy:

Big Day!

Well.............today is a wonderful day in our house, and a sad one a little too! Our beautiful Merrick turns 4 today! The big party is this weekend,so there will be an extensive blog then!

Also Jude finished up his 1st year of school...kindergarten is over! I got to spend the day with him in class, so I've attached some pics and long video that only you grandfolks watching will appreciate!

Week In Review

The last week or so has been WONDERFUL. My wife kicked it off LAST weekend with a special "childfree" date day last weekend complete with a massage, a walk through J-Ville, Gelato and lumch at our fave place....oh yeah, and 2 tickets to see Elvis Costello! We also had a group party with some dear friends. 3 of my best buddies and I all have birthdays very close so we had a great evening together.

Today saw my studly nephews' 1st birthday. He was a joy to watch and I praise God
for his 1st year...trials and all. Unfortunately we had to leave early for Jude's 1st ever sports game! And it turns out...soccer and he agree! They may not have won, but he dominated on offense with the ball. He also made 2 sliding saves on goal that were Sportscenter worthy! :)

Let me add my favorite quote of the week also:
When I asked my beautiful daughter Merrick what her favorite thing about herself was she replied with "My nose......so I can smell donuts with".... awesome

Valentine's B-Day Boy

This weekend was a big one at our house. We had some very beloved company visiting from CO. They were there to help be a part of Jude's 6th birthday party celebration! It was a fantastic weekend. We held a party at the bowling lanes where the kids played, and laughed and enjoyed Jude's big day. He was sufficiently spoiled and loved on. Here are some pics from the event.
